Brief History

In January of 2001, Rachel West opened West Consulting operating from her home. In 2006 we moved into our current office location at 1705 Standpipe Rd. In 2018 we opened another office downtown to make it more convienient for our customers that need to bring a computer in for service. We serve many local businesses as well as businesses in the surrounding areas, working on desktop PCs, laptops, servers, routers, switches, wireless access points, printers, and much more.

Update to our locations for the year of 2021. We have closed the downtown office now that the Standpipe Road improvements have been completed and for staff benefit. All our staff is now operating from the main office at 1705 Standpipe. We will continue to serve our customers with the best of our ability.

With the 2020 year in order to support the remote workforce better, we have added cloud base phones to our service offering.

Rachel West has completed her certifications as a Microsoft Certified Professional, MCP + Internet, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Ubiquiti Enterprise Wireless Admin, Ubiquiti Broadband Wireless Admin, and in the past she has been certified as a Cisco Certified Network Associate as well as a Cisco Certified Wireless Security Specialist. As the senior engineer for West Consulting, LLC, Rachel has trained and continues to train interns as they prepare for working in the real world of Information Technology.

It is never boring at West Consulting. Often we are doing the unusual project like fixing the wireless at a local RV park or assisting in setting up remote streaming of a special event at a local church. We love tackling the tough jobs as well as teaching the everyday tasks to our customers. There is no telling what you will find us working on when you come into our office. Meet the Staff:

Rachel A. West, Lead Engineer, Network Specialist

She has extensive experience working with tech support for computers and networks and she can speak people language too. She is well-versed in restoring computers and networks to their proper operating condition. She has a BA degree from Thomas Edison State College in New Jersey majoring in Mathematics and Natural Sciences. Rachel is recognized by Microsoft as a Systems Engineer and Certified Professional plus Internet. She has not authored any books or major blogs, because she spends all her time fixing other people's stuff. She has recently completed certifications from Ubiquiti, the Ubiquiti Broadband Wireless Admin (UBWA) and the Ubiquiti Enterprise Wireless Admin (UEWA).

Ryan T. Jones, Computer Technician

Ryan is a self-taught computer technician. Working under Rachel’s tutelage and utilizing Microsoft learning platform. Ryan has become well versed in sorting out issues with Microsoft, networking, printers, and many other IT related problems.

Rene' Day, Technician

After helping her husband run a computer repair business in Colorado in the early 2010's Rene' decided to go to school to earn her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. She graduated from Strayer University in 2023 with a 4.0 GPA. She enjoys solving the puzzle that is computer repair. With background in office administration as well she understands why our clients need their systems up and running as fast as possible. After many years of homeschooling her son she decided to rejoin the workforce here at West Consulting and we are happy to have her!

Nancee Willis, Office Manager

While Mrs. Nancee was with West Consulting for many years we are proud to announce that she has retired as of January 2025!
